When the fog settles in, it has a way of dimming the distance. autumn web

Suddenly, the spider webs normally unnoticed, become obvious.  Their threads, like silken jackets are spun around leaves, twigs, even the tiniest wisp of grass. Some webs are like woven blankets wrapped around branches and dead foliage. It surprises me to see them there.  How many times have I overlooked them?

The fog only obscures to those looking far beyond it.
